Level: All Levels

The foundation for any successful data governance initiative is a set of accepted business rules or policies that guide the collection and maintenance of data. Although the goal is clear (a unified approach to data management leads to better, more accurate information), most organizations have not bridged the gap between creating a policy and enforcing it within the IT environment. To effectively create and enforce corporate standards for data governance, organizations need to embrace strategy that begins and ends with high-end data quality technology. Presented by Scott Gidley from DataFlux, this session will examine the Data Governance Maturity Model and provide examples on ways that companies have infused data quality and data integration solutions into their data governance efforts.
