Align for Success: The Critical Part Data Quality Plays in Complex IT and Business Initiatives
Poor data quality, accompanied by the lack of a comprehensive data quality management strategy, is a critical cause of failure or delay in Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. Customer Data Integration, Product Information Management, and all types of MDM or reference data management projects rely on good quality, certified and aligned data assets, capable business processes, and consistent definition of terms that can meet the requirements of all business processes across all applications enterprise-wide. During this session you will learn the importance of visibility and planning with respect to data quality, and the key part it plays in the success of any complex application implementation program. You will also learn about the key elements of effective Data Quality Management in the most challenging application implementations and how these initiatives can be a key starting point for good data governance practices within your organization. A Bank of America case study will illustrate how these principles come into play with their work on anti-money laundering. |
