Quantum Physics of Data Quality
We will examine what “data quality” really means at the most elementary level – codes, attributes, entities, relationships, and databases. Dimensions of data quality at the most fundamental level will be developed and these will be related to each of the identified “data” sub-components. We will examine how fundamentals of Data Quality concepts relate to business requirements defined by business customers, metadata, data integration, and roles and responsiblities of data stewards. Mention will be made of Deming’s quality principles and how they relate to data quality dimensions. The result will be a clear framework in which each data quality dimension can be addressed, understood, measured and bench marked. |
