Six Sigma in IQ
Six Sigma is currently sweeping the world as a proven business improvement methodology. Born in manufacturing, it is now being successfully applied in many other domains such as administrative, marketing and sales, HR, IT, education, government, IT, financial services, insurance, etc..)
This session will allow participants to learn more about what six sigma is and isn’t, and to discuss how you and others are applying Six Sigma to information quality. Topics include:
- Reporting data quality levels on a ”sigma scale”
- Improving business processes using Six Sigma’s DMAIC process (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
IAIDQ Communities of Practice
This session will provide participants an update about IAIDQ’s most important member service. In the context of IAIDQ, Communities of Practice are groups of IAIDQ members coming together to network, share best practices, solve-problems jointly and learn from each other.
IAIDQ CoPs can be formed in three different forms: - to serve a defined geographical area (aka chapter)
- to focus on one industry segment (e.g. IQ in healthcare) or
- to develop expertise in a specific IQ domain (e.g. IQ measurement,).
This session will be of particular interest to those seeking to get more involved with IAIDQ, and to those interested in assuming a leadership role in the professional society.
