IQ Principles Update

As the IQ discipline matures, IQ principles are called to play a critical role in helping IQ leaders frame choices that will guide their IQ policies, strategies and practices. This session reports on the progress of ongoing IAIDQ work to identify and define fundamental IQ principles.

Speaker Bios
Walid is the Business Excellence Manager at Nestlé driving the strategy for Nestlé group in the area of Data Excellence. His main domains are Data quality, Data conversion, Meta data and master data management.(Frameworks and KPIs definition and design) ITIL, PMI certified and more than 11 years of service oriented experience in managing projects, teams, and initiatives related to business data excellence. His specialization is in business intelligence, data quality, data modeling, and data architecture type of initiatives. He is a lecturer on “Data modeling”, “computational linguistics” subjects and PhD students’ Director at Université de Franche-Comté, Besançon, France. He is an active member of the research centre in computer science and language science Lucien Tesnière (CNRS France) responsible for conferences and seminars at national and international levels. Member of the European experts’ database responsible for the expertise of European projects in the domain of information management, Natural language processing and artificial intelligence.

Danette McGilvray is President and Principal of Granite Falls Consulting, Inc., a firm specializing in data quality management to support key business processes around customer satisfaction, decision support, supply chain management, and operational excellence. Projects include enterprise data integration programs, data warehousing strategies, data governance, and best practices for large-scale ERP data migrations for Fortune 500 organizations.

Bonnie O'Neil is Senior Principal Data Architect for PPC. She is the author of three books including Business Metadata (due out late summer 2007) and over 40 articles, and a regular speaker at conferences, including Data Quality in South Africa. Her projects span both Fortune 500 companies and government agencies

Mr. Carlson leads a team focused on automated controls,testing and reporting using six sigma methods related to compliance. He has an engineering education and twenty five years experience in improving processes with the last seven years focused on improving business, data, compliance and information processes.

Larry P. English, president and principal of INFORMATION IMPACT International, Inc., is an internationally recognized consultant, teacher and author in information quality improvement. He has provided consulting and education in more than 30 countries on five continents. He was featured as one of the "21 Voices for the 21st Century" in Quality Progress. He conceived and co-founded the International Association for Information and Data Quality (IAIDQ).

Arnt-Erik Hansen works at one of the largest Swiss based financial institutions in the world. He is responsible at group level, for harvesting disparately stored (siloed) information about clients, internally called partners, and to structure and distribute the consolidated knowledge to a high number of consumers internally and externally. Arnt-Erik holds a Bachelors degree in Administration for the Norwegian School of Management. He is a Charter Member of IAIDQ and currently holds the position as Vice President of Member Services on the IAIDQ Board of Directors.
