This presentation stresses a pragmatic approach to creating/implementing an Information Quality Management (IQM) council. The principles/approaches outlined will enable the attendee to utilize practice aids to create an IQM council responsible for data quality management now. Key deliverables include, policies on data definition, design, and change control. Methods to develop collaborative processes will be demonstrated. This presentation will outline:
- How to select the right council people.
- How to train/develop stewards to develop required deliverables.
- How to move from several teams responsible for data cleansing, to one consolidated council.
- How to monitor/measure success, which is attaining the highest quality data possible.

Speaker Bio

Ms. Kresl has worked in the IT industry for over 21 years focusing on data architecture design and database technology management. She is currently managing Data Architecture at Nike in their worldwide headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. She sits on the boards of IAIDQ (VP, Operations) and DAMA Global Chapter (VP, Finance).
