Wednesday 10:00am - 11:00am
Conference Session
Level: Intermediate

No data quality technique is more fundamental, more important, more powerful, or more difficult to implement than process management. Everyone knows that well-designed and managed end-to-end processes yield high-quality data. But data cross departmental boundaries in the blink of an eye, so getting everyone on board is maddeningly difficult.

This talk will cover the "process management waterfront." We’ll explore:
- What process management is, why it is so important and why it "works"
- Lessons learned, from both success and failure
- Data tracking, the tried and true method for measuring accuracy across a process, establishing statistical control, and smoking out the root cause of error
