This interactive workshop focuses on a change element usually ignored by classical change management: the often-difficult personal transitions that individuals go through when required to change. We will discuss helpful frameworks and models that information management professionals can use to lead large or small change projects. Drawing from lessons learned at the frontline, the workshop blends best practices from marketing and human psychology. Examples will come from IRM and IQ change projects.

  •  Understanding and reducing resistance
  •  The adoption of change
  •  The ingredients of successful change communication.
C. Lwanga Yonke works as Information Quality Manager at Aera Energy LLC, where he specializes in all aspects of information quality. His previous positions include Manager of BI, Data Warehousing, Data Architecture, and various petroleum engineering assignments. Lwanga earned an MBA from California State University and holds a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. An ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, he has conducted numerous seminars on TQM strategies and has authored and presented several technical and data quality papers. Lwanga is a founding member of IAIDQ and currently serves as an Advisor to the IAIDQ Board.
