The operational landscape for most large global enterprises especially those with heavy mergers challenges the success of the business in many ways. High and redundant IT costs, Redudant master sources such as Customer and Product Dimensions, slow B2B operations against disaparate data sources to name but a few. The purpose of this session it to ouline the steps and techniques to follow to improve the overall IT operation by driving the estblishment of horizontal architectural thinking and the developement and deployment of master data references. We will consider the following areas:
David James is the Information Management services Lead for the IBM Enterprise Business Information group under the IBM CIO Office. He specializes in assisting clients in design and development of effective implementation of enterprise-wide data warehouse and business intelligence solutions, as well as all data management practices. He has also outlined the overall data strategy for the ISC and is currently working with all the Data Stewards, Data Architects and Data modelers on a data consolidation roadmap strategy. Prior to joining IBM,Mr.James has provided consulting services to organizations from a variety of industries including financial, manufacturing, utilities, health insurance, government and military operations. Mr James has also established Data management for a number of organizations. |
