What you'll be asked to provide in the submission process

  1. Submitter Information
  2. The "Submitter" is simply the person who inputs the information online. This may be a speaker or a speaker's representative.

  3. Speaker Information
    • Contact Information
    • If more than one speaker is proposed for a given session, who is the "primary speaker"?
    • You will also have the option of uploading a speaker portrait photograph.
      (300 dpi or greater jpg file format preferred)
    • Speaker Biography (up to 150 words.  Do not include a resume)

  4. Session Information
    • Session Title
    • Abstract (150 word executive summary and 5-6 bullet points)
    • Identify a Topic area
    • Type of presentation proposed
      •  Conference Session - (1 hour)
      •  Special Interest Group - (1 hour: 5-10 minute overview, then facilitated discussion)
      •  Night School - (1 hour)
      •  Workshop - (3 hour duration)
      •  Tutorial - (6 hours)
    • Audience Level
      •  Data Management - Introductory
      •  Data Management - Intermediate
      •  Data Management - Advanced
      •  Business
    • Additional Information about Presentation (anything else you think is pertinent, including books, articles, publications, etc.)
    • Speaker Biography (150 word limit .  Do not include a resume)
    • Audio Visual requirements (note that one wireless lavaliere microphone, data projector and screen will be provided as standard equipment)
    • Do you have the necessary financial and travel approvals from your company in order to attend and speak at the conference?
    • Have you given this presentation before?  If yes, please explain when and where.
    • You will be asked to agree to the "Copyright and Reproduction Terms" and to provide an unprotected PowerPoint file to us by March 13, 2006.

  5. Other Notes
    • You will be able to review your submission in PDF form before submitting it, and go back and edit as needed.
    • After you have successfully submitted your proposal, you will receive an automatically generated email confirmation.
    • You may review/edit your submission by logging back into the system using the link in that email confirmation.
