If you're looking for something to do Sunday before the Workshops start at 3:30, try:

House of Blues Gospel Brunch                    Beverly Hills / Rodeo Drive

Other Neighborhoods/Museums                  Monday Night "Homemade Jam"

The Workshops start at 3:30 pm on Sunday, so Sunday morning, head on over to the famous Sunset Strip in Hollywood for the HOUSE OF BLUES GOSPEL BRUNCH.

House of Blues is probably best known for the incredible live music that graces the stage night after night.  And most folks know the venue also serves delicious southern-inspired cuisine in their Restaurant for both lunch and dinner.  What you may not know is that every on Sunday morning the venue grooves to a different beat.  Combining soul and gospel music and a southern style buffet, the House of Blues presents Sunday Gospel Brunch.

Depending on whether you are an early bird or like to the sleep in a bit, guests are offered two seatings, one at 10 a.m. and the other at 1 p.m. After being seated you're invited to enjoy the huge all-you-care-to-eat buffet that has breakfast and southern favorites like Eggs Benedict, Smoked BBQ Chicken, Pasta Salad, Bacon, Jambalaya and lots lots more.  And don't forget the decadent Bread Pudding for dessert!

After everyone has had a chance to go through the buffet once (or twice!), the Brunch host comes out and welcomes everyone and introduces that day's entertainment.  Different groups perform at the brunch each week and the songs range from R&B and Gospel traditionals and standards to originals. The music is uplifting and entertaining and always leaves the crowd clapping, singing and asking for more.

Homemade Jam (of the musical variety):

At past conferences, some of the musicians amongst the speakers and attendees (including Peter Aiken, Graham Witt, Stan Slossberg, Brett Champlin and Graeme Simsion) have brought their instruments and gotten together for an informal jam session in a local club. This year we’re giving everyone a chance to hear them by opening up one of our conference rooms and inviting all the conference attendees to come along!

Monday, May 3, 9:00 PM
