Converging data bases with different formats from multiple countries is a daunting task. Is convergence the right solution and is it better to redesign the data base? With the encouragement of visionary and extraordinary managers and sponsors, the project was launched and successful. Where did we start, what were the issues and lessons learned to guide us into the future? All these questions will be answered for you. You will gain insight on how the business data requirements were gathered including standard definitions, the migration of existing data and the system implementation. Ownership of the data within the system was another question that had to be answered to ensure the quality of the data over time.



Speaker Bio

Margaret is well known for her passion for data quality. Her experience with Hewlett-Packard was dedicated to establishing data standards, processes and methodologies, leading a Data Quality program to consolidate internal DQ initiatives and implementing a worldwide operational customer data base still being used today. She is recognized as a leading expert in the management of worldwide Customer Information systems and processes in Hewlett-Packard. She currently owns the Data Quality Architecture Consulting company.
