The War on Data Inconsistency: Data Relationship Management

Alex Gorelik Alex Gorelik
Founder and CTO
Exeros, Inc.

Thursday 9:45am - 10:45am

Level: Intermediate

Data quality has traditionally been focused on the profiling and cleansing of single data sources. But in the wake of new regulations requiring the discovery and documentation of data lineage BETWEEN systems, as well as existing requirements for business integrity and customer satisfaction, a new methodology and technology for discovering and measuring the quality of critical data elements has arisen -- data relationship management. Alex Gorelik will describe the new methods for data relationship management, and discuss the following case studies:

  1. A major credit card company tracking data lineage across 1700 systems
  2. An asset management firm eliminating costly errors due to data inconsistency
  3. A F500 company consolidating 50 databases into one product master
  4. A top US insurer identifying, masking and certifying all HIPAA PHI data
