This presentation stresses a pragmatic approach to creating/implementing quality information for SOA. The principles/approaches outlined will enable the attendee to utilize a meta-model to create a service component and interface (contract) responsible for the enterprise information that SOA can exploit. Key deliverables include repositories where core processes get trusted data & information, core entities, definitions (business, technical, & process metadata). This presentation will outline:

  • How to relate the Service Component to your business entities.
  • How to build a high quality data service that enables all other services.
  • How to develop the Information Management Strategy that prevents wasting your SOA investment



Speaker Bio

Ms. Kresl has worked in IT for over 21 years focusing on data quality, architecture, and database management. She manages Data Architecture at Nike, Inc. Ms. Kresl received her BS degree in Computer Science from Idaho State University. She has published in DM Review and sits on the board of DAMA Global Chapter (VP, Finance).
