SOA is a current buzzword sweeping many industries. As some say "everything must become SOA." This of course presents organizations with a tremendous challenge and opportunity. This session explores the SOA implications from a data quality perspective. Specifically, it will describe:

  • Web Services and the components of Service Oriented Architectures
  • Specific SOA requirements as they pertain to data quality
  • How to avoid SOA hype perils during project planning
  • The specific data quality steps that should be taken to ensure success



Speaker Bio
Peter Aiken is the Founding Director of Data Blueprint(.com) and an Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. A world-recognized thought leader and widely published author; he has previously held leadership positions with US DoD and consulted with organizations in 17 countries.
